User Experience – User Acceptance of Fall Prevention System for Older Adults

This project features a home-based fall prevention system that identifies fall risks and related abnormalities, shifting the focus from remedial response after an incident to proactive risk management centred on prevention. To better understand users' perspectives, we invited older adults and carers to participate in focus group discussions to gather their views and expectations regarding privacy protection, system functionality and practical applications. The Living Lab has also provided recommendations to the research and development team to support the system’s continued advancement, with the goal of enhancing home safety for older adults and enabling independent and confident ageing in place.
