User Experience: “Woven Warmth Heated Pillow Panel” to Enhance Sleep Quality for Older Adults

We invited residents from HKHS elderly housing schemes to try out the newly-developed “Woven Warmth Heated Pillow Panel” in their own homes for one month, allowing them to experience its warming effect within their usual sleep environment.  Through one‑to‑one interviews conducted after the trial, the project gained deeper insights into older adults’ overall user experience, including comfort, perception of warmth, and its impact on sleep quality.  The Living Lab has provided feedback and improvement recommendations to the product development team to support further refinement of the product, with the aim of enhancing sleep quality for older adults and realising the goal of “ageing in place”.
