Services Provided by Age-Friendly Home Ambassadors
Lead participants in using various facilities at the Centre, including operating equipment to conduct basic health screenings.
Provide guided tours for older adults, carers, and students. Introduce the Centre’s services and facilities, and lead engaging, hands-on experiential activities.
Assist in implementing community education campaigns to promote the concept of age-friendly home environments.

Rainbow
After becoming an ambassador, I gradually felt a sense of belonging to this big family and experienced many personal changes. The greatest gain has been becoming more proactive, open to new experiences, and more willing to communicate with participants and fellow volunteers. Through my involvement in various services, I've had the opportunity to try new things, learn to interact with different people, and better understand their needs.
Terence
I feel truly honoured to serve as an ambassador at the Housing Society Elderly Resources Centre. Through volunteering, I've not only assisted older visitors with various physical and cognitive function tests, but also gained valuable health knowledge myself. As I approach my 60s, I've learned how to better prepare for later life—by maintaining a healthy diet and staying active—which has been incredibly beneficial.
- HKSAR residents aged 18 or above (retirees and housewives are welcome)
- Fluent in Cantonese with Chinese literacy (proficiency in English or other Chinese dialects is a plus)
- Good presentation skills
- Pleasant and sociable
- Strong desire to learn new knowledge and techniques
- Punctual and responsible
- Complete all training and practicum sessions
- Be open to continuous learning and development
- A certificate will be awarded upon completion and passing of the training programme
- Service allowances will be provided
