滑倒及跌倒是家居常見的意外之一，故揀選拖鞋時，不但要考慮穿著時是否舒適，也要顧及是否具備良好的防滑效能。消費者委員會測試的30款家居拖鞋，發現樣本間的防滑效能懸殊，總評由2分至最高5分不等，其中逾半（16款）樣本於濕滑地面上的防滑表現未如理想，包括2款聲稱為「防滑」或「止滑」的樣本，以及1款聲稱為浴室拖鞋的樣本。因此，消費者選購拖鞋時，不宜盡信產品的「防滑」、「止滑」聲稱，應仔細選擇有較佳防滑效果的鞋底物料及坑紋設計的款式，同時應避免地面有水漬及減少在地上擺放雜物。若家中有長者，除嚴選家居拖鞋外，亦可考慮
